Add butter to the mixing bowl and mix on medium speed. Then slowly add 50% of the icing sugar to the butter and mix. Once the sugar is blended well, add the remaining amount of icing sugar to the butter-sugar mixture. Mix well.
Mean Tip: Start on a low speed and slowly increase to medium speed to mix the icing sugar into the butter.

- 2 cups salted butter
- 1 cup icing sugar
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Add butter to mixer and mix on med speed. Then add icing sugar half at a time. To mix well, start on low speed and slowly increase to medium speed to mix well.
Once icing sugar and butter is well integrated, add all-purpose flour a little at a time. Mixture should be very soft to the touch.
Scatter flour on the surface and roll out the dough.
Use cookie cutter to cut out the shapes.
Transfer shapes to cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Roll out the remaining dough and repeat previous steps cutting out more shapes.
Optional: if you have sprinkles you can decorate them on top to make them look AWESOME!
Preheat over at 325°F and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
